Interest Meeting

We had our very first interesting meeting outside our patio on May 15, 2022. 8 people participated and it was wonderful to see those who were interested and were willing to trust and take the first step of ITZArt. We started off with introducing ourselves and an ice breaker to loosen up the tense air. We then introduced ITZArt4you; what it is and our mission. Then, we explained the performances ITZArt is involved in and the music lessons that we would provide to the local Title I school. The fact that the school was a Title I school got their attention because there are not many clubs and student-lead organizations who serve at Title I schools. Next, we brought up the idea to invite orchestra teacher Ms Grimes to host a teaching seminar on “How to deal with young students”. Next, we gave a brief introduction to some of the leadership roles that were open. Lastly, we had a Q & A and although we may have not been able to provide them with definite answers, we were able to give them a good idea of what ITZArt was going to look like and what our goals were.
